Mr. Leshabe Rampedi - CHAIRMAN

CHAIRMAN: Mr. Leshabe Rampedi

Leshabe is currently a director of several companies involved in business consulting, project management and property development. He has more than 14 years of public sector experience having worked in a university, office of the Premier as Deputy Director General for Strategy and Policy Management, Municipal Manager, Head of Department for Local Government and Housing. Before joining the public sector, he started his career in the private sector working for Standard Bank (Foreign exchange division) and Consol Limited (finance department).

He has served as part of the University of the North Council, was a member of the Limpopo Province Tender Board, served as a member of the MBA advisory committee at University of Limpopo, still a member of Lepelle Water Board whereby he serves as chairperson of the finance committee.

Over the many years of experience he has managed large scale and complex change initiatives. He was part of the team which established the Limpopo Provincial Administration from the three Homelands as well as the Transvaal Provincial Administration in 1994.

Academic Qualifications and Training

Leshabe completed a B.Com (Acc) from the University of the Western Cape in 1990, a Masters degree in Development Studies from the University of Limpopo in 2004.

He undertook a Senior Executive Programme from Harvard University in 2000, Infrastructure and Partnerships for Local Economic
Development with Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 2003 and Making Markets Work: Programme for Africa Harvard University in 2003.

He has also undertaken extensive training through different business school programs over the years covering strategy, program management, corporate communications, strategic finance, information management, etc. He has, as part of the training, undertaken study tours regarding public sector management, economic development strategies, public private partnerships, legislation and policy management, to Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Britain, USA, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Ireland, etc.

Mr. Rudzani Mamphaga - MANAGING DIRECTOR

MANAGING DIRECTOR: Mr. Rudzani Mamphaga, Pr.Eng

Rudzani is a registered professional engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). His training is in structural engineering and he has gone on to complete a postgraduate qualification in civil engineering. He has also completed programs in project management. His experience is in design, project management, supervision and management of high rise buildings, industrial and commercial properties and low cost housing.

Rudzani has contributed to the industry in various ways, notably, participating in formulation of Guidelines for Foundation Designs in Dolomatic Sites, while working for the NHBRC. He was also the driving force behind Eric Molobi Innovation Hub in Soshanguve during the same tenure, a ministerial project created to encourage the use of alternative technologies in the home building industry.

Rudzani has also been involved in various interventions at both National and Provincial levels as a technical advisor, programme
and project manager in aspects of fast tracking housing delivery; Eastern Cape Department of Human Settlement, Nelson Mande-
la Bay Metropolitan Municipality (HDA) and Gauteng Department of Human Settlement. He is also an accomplished project manager
and business leader having successfully led to completion all the projects as listed in this profile.

Academic Qualifications and Training

Rudzani completed a BSc. in civil engineering at the University of Cape Town in 1997. In 2001 he then obtain graduate diploma in engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand. He has also undertaken extensive training and short courses in project management, contract management, advance training in concrete and steels.

Rudzani started his career at Liebenberg & Stander Consulting Engineers (LS Consulting) in 1998, where he acquired his engineering skills and In 2004-2007 he joined NHBRC, where he got involved in the development of technical standards guidelines for the whole building industry.

He was the leader of the engineering stream in 2008-2010 for the Eastern Cape intervention team in fast tracking housing delivery.
